The Church School is an essential part of our community of faith. A Christ centered, spirit-filled, Biblical based mission driven church school ministry is an invaluable resource in the spiritual growth and development for members, individually and collectively. Moreover the church school provides a ministry that cannot be met in any other area/component of the body of Christ, intentional interactive instruction for believers.

The Saint John Church School invites all of you to Church School immediately following the 8am worship service (9:30am). Church School is approximately one hour and consists of devotions, instruction, and closing activities.

The lessons in this unit will focus on how God brings about a caring attitude for one another in the hearts of His people.

Summer Quarter 2014

JUNE

Unit 1: Hope and Confidence Come from God

June 1Obey the Lord Haggai 1:1-11

June 8Trust God's Promises Haggai 1:12-2:9

June 15Live Pure Lives Haggai 2:10-19

June 22Hope for a New Day Haggai 2:23; Zechariah 4:1-3, 6-14

This unit of lessons shows how the church in Corinth needed to make people a priority. Paul taught the Corinthians the importance of loving each other, building each other up in the faith, and collectively living for the glory of God.

 JULY

Unit 2: Living as a Community of Believers

June 29Pursue Unity in Christ 1 Corinthians 1:10-17; 3:4-9

July 6Glorify God with Your Body 1 Corinthians 6:12-20

July 13Exercise Freedom with Caution 1 Corinthians 8

July 20Overcome Temptation 1 Corinthians 10:6-22

July 27Seek the Good of Others 1 Corinthians 14:13-26

When our first concern as Christians becomes how to serve one another, the result will be a desire to help others materially and spiritually. That is the focus of the third unit's lessons. Paul's second letter to the Corinthians provides instruction and encouragement toward forgiveness, reconciliation, and gracious giving.
