Black History Month Observance
The Department of Music and Christian Arts Ministry (MCAM) invites each of you to attend our Black History Month Musical held on this afternoon, February 28, at 3 pm.  The theme is  The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity.  As usual, we will celebrate our usual way only virtually.  So put on your African Attire and cook up that good ole Soul Food and sit back and enjoy the program,  Featuring: Alison Sanders, Terry Harper, Danny Harper, and Desmond Parker!  You don’t want to miss it.

Spiritual Formation Workshop 
Mark your calendars now for Saturday, March 6, 2021, from 9 am – 11 am. All officers, members, and guests are invited to attend a Spiritual Formation Workshop.  Rev. Sterling will lead the class and focus on our mission as a church, what it means to grow spiritually, and how we can serve the world.

Scholarship Fundraiser Sunday
It’s Scholarship Time!  Today, we ask all members to contribute to the yearly scholarship fund so that St. John High School graduates and college students may be awarded a Scholarship or Book Stipend for the 2021 school year.   Please indicate on your envelope and memo of your check – Scholarship ( Check written to St. John AME Church), or if giving online by Cash App$$, Givelify, or PayPal, please indicate Scholarship Offering.  If you gave a scholarship or book stipend last year and plan on giving again, please contact a member of the scholarship Committee, Deboraha Harris, Dawn Thomas, or call the church office.

The Scholarship Committee appreciates your continued support of this ministry so that our youth can have some assistance in continuing their education.

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS
Blessing Bags
The Sons of Allen of Saint John are asking you to please assist in preparing “Blessing Bags” for the homeless.  Ziplock bags can be filled with small toiletry items and socks.  For more information, contact Bobby Chunn for more details.

Church School
We invite you to attend one of our Adult Church School Classes each Sunday.  Combined Class at 8:30 am, Men’s Class at 9:30 am, and Women’s Class at 11 am.  Please call the church office for Conference Call information.

Teens/College Zoom
Grow your relationship with God by getting in TACC (Teen and College Church) every Sunday at 11 am.  Contact Sherri Radney or the church office for details on joining.
Middle School

If you are in grades 6th – 8th, it’s time for you to CONNECT with our MSM (Middle School Ministry) each Sunday at 11 am.  Contact the Church office or Megan Spears for more details.

Children’s Church
Get in the Mix with our 3:16 Children’s Church Ministry.  Parents, if your children are in Grades 1 – 5, join us each Sunday at 11 am.  Contact the Church office or Evelyn Burrell, or Roberta Evans for more details.

Bible Study
Every Wednesday at 12noon (Conference Call)  or  6 pm (zoom),  join us for Wednesday in the Word.

Remember that you don’t have to be a member of Saint John to join one of our Church School, Youth Bible Studies, or Adult Bible Study Classes.  All are welcome!
