Welcome (FAQ’s)

Saint John is a Word–teaching, life–building church with many vibrant ministries, boards, and auxiliaries to serve you, your family, and our community. We are serious about ministry that helps you meet God, grow closer to Him, and serve Him.

Our Sunday worship service begins at 10:00 am. Educational Hour begins at 8:30 a.m.
Children’s Church begins at approximately 10:00 a.m.

We want to make sure you feel welcome and simply enjoy yourself during services! We will ask visitors, who feel comfortable, to please stand as we officially greet and welcome you. You will not be asked to say anything. We have two offerings. The first is our missionary offering where your giving supports one of our many missionary societies. The second is the main offering where your love gift supports the day-to-day workings of the church. We understand that everyone is not able to give and encourage you not to let your current financial circumstances keep you from worshipping and fellowshipping with the Saint John family. Your presence is a blessing in itself. During our worship service expect to praise God in song, led by one of our many Music Ministries, and our Liturgical Dancers who praise the Lord through spirit-filled dance. Lastly, expect to hear a word from the Lord from Pastor Sterling or a member of the Ministerial staff.

We believe that Jesus came to save the lost, broken, confused, hopeless, and fearful. He loves YOU so much that He came, died, and is coming again just for YOU. All He asks is that you accept Him, believe in your heart, and confess Him with your mouth. Want to know more? Let us show you how.

Welcome to the family! We’re honored that God has so ordered your life that you would share it with us. Walking down that aisle was an important first step. We want to get to know you and how we can best serve you.

Whether you are here working in the region or a student at one of the many colleges and universities in Birmingham, we would love to be your home away from home.

At Saint John, we are striving to be the hands and feet of Christ. We offer assistance for persons in need. We are here for you – with resources and useful information. Click here to send us a message. Someone will get back with you soon.
